                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 5740
                   HIGHWAY 153, BEING ON THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF
                   HIGHWAY 153 SOUTHWEST OF GRUBB ROAD, FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                Property located at 5740 Highway 153, being on the
                southeast line of Highway 153 southwest of Grubb
                Road.  An unplatted tract, being part of the
                property described in deed book 1733, page 639,
                ROHC.  Said part of tract begins on the southeast
                line of Highway 153 some 312.6 feet southwest, then
                50 feet northwest, then some 710 feet southwest,
                then some 20 feet southeast of the intersection of
                the southeast line of Highway 153 with the
                southwest line of Grubb Road, thence southeast some
                650 feet, thence southwest some 600 feet, thence
                northwest some 338.4 feet to the southeast line of
                Highway 153, thence northeast some 600 feet with
                Highway 153 to the point of beginning.  Tax Map No.
                100A-C-8 (part).

         from R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Approved for only the western half of the site as 
shown
                   on amended map;
        
              2.   No access to Grubb Road;
        
              3.   Subject to Chattanooga Landscaping Standards on file 
in
                   office of Chattanooga Regional Planning Commission; 
and
        
              4.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
